Wednesday - August 17 - Ephesians 2:19-22

19 So then you are no longer dstrangers and aliens,1 but you are efellow citizens with the saints and fmembers of the household of God, 20 gbuilt on the foundation of the hapostles and prophets, iChrist Jesus himself beingjthe cornerstone, 21 kin whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into la holy temple in the Lord. 22 In him myou also are being built together ninto a dwelling place for God by2 the Spirit.

    There are two things being built here. There is the total body of Christ, all of Christianity since He saved, formed, and called the church. And there is also our individual lives He is growing as we house His Spirit. They are completely connected to each other. Growth of the one feeds the other.

    We love the architectural imagery! Christ our cornerstone and our lives join with Him to be a HOLY temple. How are we doing with the holy?

    God is speaking to me loud and clear as I read this. I need to spend more time in the Word and in prayer to continue growing individually. At the same time I need to help others within the body of Christ grow.
