The best two words in all of human history and in our personal lives as well..."BUT GOD"! We love this. We were dead, we followed Satan, we lived in darkness and fulfilled every sin, destined for Hell, BUT GOD changed it all. We love that it doesn't say BUT WE, because WE had nothing to do with it. He saved us as dead people, changed our nature, our reality, our eternity because of those two little words. Without them, we would still be destined for evil, but now, our destiny is to display for eternity the vastness of grace.
ReplyDeletePowerful- "by His grace we are saved" not by anything we can say or do but "by His grace we are saved". So humbled by the love He has for us. A love that changes our lives forever.
ReplyDeleteGod's word reminds us that we were "dead in sin", but made alive together with Jesus Christ. God did this by his love, mercy, and grace for all of us. We are tremendously blessed!

ReplyDeleteI'm no better than anyone else in the world. However, I have accepted Christ as my savior and therefore can stand b4 the Creator with the full knowledge that I am saved!!!!
"once walked" Paul is implying that now that we have been given grace, that we now walk in righteousness and have died to our old ways. We need to live a life of holiness and purity that is reflective of the grace we have received.
